- (2021– ongoing) Founder and Honorary President of the Academic Spinoff GRIDDIT SRl specialized in the hydraulic engineering and hydrogeological risk sector, Spinoff University for Foreigners of Perugia.
- (2011 – 2023) University for Foreigners of Perugia – Associate Professor (since November 2017, previously since December 2011 as university researcher) in the Hydraulic Construction, Maritime and Hydrology sector (ICAR/02); Since March 2016 he has been Director of the Water Resources Research and Documentation Center (WARREDOC).

- (2003 – 2006) Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) – PhD student at Sapienza/Rome and winner of a CNR-MIT program research grant, carries out research activities mainly abroad as Visiting Phd at the “Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering” of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at the Parsons Lab hydrometerology group. 3-year period abroad.
- (A.A. 2000-2003) Sapienza University of Rome / Columbia University of New York. Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, obtained in 2001 at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome. Master’s thesis entirely developed at the Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering of Columbia University in New York. 12 month period abroad. After graduating he collaborates with the Department of Hydraulics of Sapienza University and carries out professional scientific consultancy in Italy and abroad as a hydrological-hydraulic modeller.
